Scottish Country Dancers

It's time to kick up your heels for the 2022/2023 Scottish Country Dance season!

Come join us on Friday evenings as our Instructor, Sophie DeMarkey, prepares some dances for the upcoming performance season. Our season begins Friday, Sept. 8 at Mary Lorraine's Dance Center (5330 S. 136 St.) in Omaha. We start practice at 7:30 pm and are usually finished by 9 pm. Please wear ghillies or soft-soled shoes as we practice on a sprung-wood floor.

You don't need to have any dance experience - we happily teach beginners the basic steps and patterns and you'll progress at your own pace. It's lots of fun and great exercise so come and give it a try!

In order to pay for use of the studio we ask dancers to contribute $5 per month (for the 9 month season - we break for the summer months). If you give it a try and decide to become regular attendees we also ask that you join the Scottish Society of Nebraska as the dancers are a function of the society.

If you have any questions just contact our Director, Shellie Oglesby, using the form to the left.  We hope to see you at a future practice!
